Born on July 21, 2000, in Leeds, England, Haaland is the son of Norwegian parents. His father, Alfie Haaland, played for Leeds United in the Premier League, while his mother, Gry Marita Braut, was an athlete specializing in heptathlon. In 2004, when he was just three years old, the family returned to Bryne, Norway, which is the hometown of his parents.
